NoDa
(The Arts District) NoDa as locals like to call it is also known as The
Arts District and it's a National Registered Historic District. Located
approximately two miles north of Uptown this bustling neighborhood prides
itself in having an eclectic and diverse community. It's a place where
the residents blend seamlessly to enjoy the bustling mecca of art galleries,
original restaurants, shops and history. NoDa comes alive on the first
and third Friday of every month with the gallery crawl. You can stroll
down the downtown area along North Davidson Street to visit a vast array
of galleries. Then stop in for dinner at the famous Cabo Fish Taco or
Boudreaux’s Bayou which are long time favorites of Charlotteans.
If your looking to sit under the stars then pop in Solstice Tavern, Dolce
Vita Wine Bar or bring your favorite canine to The Dog Bar. Not hungry,
then grab a coffee at Smelly Cat and visit at our locally owned shops,
Canvas Monkey, Real-Eyes and many more. We also have music; The Neighborhood
Theater and The Evening Muse bring in great bands from all over the country.
If you’re looking to stay in shape we also have our very own gym
– the Johnston YMCA. There's just so much to see and do! To learn more about NoDa and some of our other favorite neighborhoods check out The Elite Blog.
