Located just minutes northeast of Uptown, this charming
and historic neighborhood is named after Anne Elizabeth Watts, mother
and matriarch to Charles B. King, the founder of Elizabeth College.
Elizabeth is one of Charlotte’s oldest neighborhoods and boasts
of tree-lined streets which offer accessability and tranquility to its
diverse core of residents. Renovated homes have remained true to the craftsman
style architecture that dominates this neighborhood. It is truly a stunning
gem nestled close to Uptown Charlotte.
Elizabeth is in close proximity to Presbyterian Hospital, Uptown, and
the growing entertainment district located along Elizabeth Avenue. If
you take a leisurely drive down 7th Street, you will find a number of
businesses and restaurants that have converted historic old homes in to
hip and exciting places to be.
